Trevor Lawrence NFL Prospect Ticket

 Trevor Lawrance Prospect Ticket

Since 8th Grade scouts had been looking at a little known kid in Georgia. This kid would lead Clemson to a National Championship in 2019 and Playoff contention for years, But nobody knew that yet. All they knew was the fact that an amazing player was before them, his name was Trevor Lawrance he attending Cartersville High School. In his attendance, at Cartersville, the Caves went 52-2 Lawrance through 14,000 Passing yards and his touchdowns to Interceptions were 161/21. It would be an understatement to say he wasn't an Amazing Prospect. Clemson was a program that was trending up after their Win in the National Championship to Alabama the prior year.

Clemson wanted Lawrance and they got him in 2018 for his first season in Death Valley. That prior season the Clemson Tigers lead by upperclassmen Deshaun Watson won the National Championship. After that year Deshaun left for Houston. Trevor Being a rookie in 2018 had High expectations coming into that year to fill Watson's shoes and he fit the shoes perfectly Lawrence went 15-0 Winning the National Championship again, blowing out Alabama 44-16 and Trevor Lawrence got MVP. At this point, Clemson looked unstoppable but then 2019 came.

2019 Clemson Tigers were at a turning point their star Wide receiver was Tee Higgins who was a Junior and after this season he was eligible for the NFL draft and on that note, Superstar Running back Travis Etienne was also a Junior. This season was a Win or go Home season for Clemson and they came out with a regulars season record of 12-0, this would get them easily to the ACC championship game where Virginia stood in there way, in one of the most lopsided games I have ever watched Clemson won by 45 Points or 62-17 Virginia was destroyed when a New challenger appeared.

Clemson would move on into the Fiesta Bowl to go against the Ohio stat Buckeye. This wasn't an easy matchup for Ohio had the 2nd rank player in the country Chase young. Luckily for Clemson, the game ended 29-23 in Clemson's favor moving Clemson up to complete in the 2019 National Championship Against the number 1 ranked player in the country Joe Burrow and the LSU Tigers. Clemson's run would end here where Joe Burrows went off on Clemson winning the game 42-25. So far throughout Trevor Lawrence's run, you can see that he was producing for Clemson majorly.

2020 Lawrences last year for the Tigers and they were business as usually winning 10-2 They only lost once in the regular season and that was to Notre Dame when Lawrence was out but even then they lost by one point. They won the ACC Championship against Notre Dame with a healthy Lawrence and went on to the Sugar Bowl to face the Buckeyes two years in a row this time they had Justin Fields a Quarter Back near the caliber of Lawrence to hold down the team. The Tigers were heavy favorites to win and if they won then they would face off against Alabama again but uncountably the Tigers died in the water they got destroyed 49-28.

That last loss gets us to the present day where the NFL Draft is coming up and Lawrence is slated to go number 1 overall in the draft but this Springs up the question, Does Trevor Lawrence deserve the Number 1 overall Selection? From my perspective which for a fact is completely Bias because I'm a Clemson Fan. I think that he Should go number 1 one overall because of the others in the draft. Some are arguing that Justin Fields whom I brought up previously would go number 1 because his team destroyed the Tigers this season.

Although Justin is a hell of a player and did get the best of Clemson my problem is that his only playoff major highlights wherefrom that game I wouldn't say Field and or the Buckeyes are better than Clemson I think they just got the better of Lawrence that game that's it. On top of that Fields got slaughtered by Alabama in the National Championship this year. In my opinion, Fields isn't and shouldn't be the number 1 overall pick this year we haven't shown enough, and this isn't me saying that he is bad I'm just saying Lawrence is overall a better player and more accomplished

Signing Off,
Jacob from Rec Center
